Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given his reaction to his side’s defeat to Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Monday evening.

The Reds suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Red Devils in the league.

Jadon Sancho and Macus Rashford scored the goals for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah halved the defect for Liverpool late in the match.

Klopp told Liverpool’s official website when asked if he is concerned by the team’s attitude: “I don’t think that is a question you have to ask, to be honest, because if you saw both games [tonight and Fulham] the difference couldn’t be bigger.

“No, it is a game where everything was clear, everything was on the table. It was not 100 per cent clear what United would do, but that’s how they started the game.

“Were they more aggressive than us in the beginning? Probably, yes. It was exactly the game United wanted to play and you can say that is our fault if you want.

“In the beginning there, it was wild, up and down and these kind of things and they had their chance when they hit the post. Then they scored the goal and then we took over, more or less.

“Until the final pass or final decision, we played like we should have played. Against so many legs in the defence, it is not easy to create now every 20 seconds a new chance, but we had a lot of moments in the box.”

Liverpool will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Bournemouth at Anfield in the Premier League.

The Reds can be backed at 5/1 on Betfair to win the game against Bournemouth 3-0.
