Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto is the subject of intense transfer interest this summer.

The 21-year-old Czech Republic international moved to Udinese in 2014 but was immediately loaned to Ascoli for the 2015/16 season without making his debut with the Serie A outfit.

The Czech midfielder impressed in 34 Serie B appearances during which time he scored five goals for the second-tier outfit.

Jankto returned to Dacia Arena for the 2016/17 season and ended up making quite an impression in 30 appearances for his club. Five goals and four assists on top of overall compelling performances for the Serie A side was more than enough to generate plenty of interest from Italy as well as from England.

Italian heavyweights Juventus and Inter are thought to be huge admirers of Jankto’s talents, but his agent reveals Udinese man is looking towards the Premier League.

Jakub Jankto’s representative Beppe Riso told Sportitalia his protegee was ‘a lover of English football’, revealing Arsenal are among the clubs following him.

“Do I see him more in the Premier League than other leagues? Yes.” Riso added.

Arsenal are not alone in the race for the talented 21-year-old who is also wanted by Everton and French powerhouse PSG.

Jankto is under contract with Udinese until 2021 and the Italian side are in no rush to sell their prized asset.

Being only 21, Jankto is likely to remain in Italy for a few more seasons to develop further before making a big move elsewhere.
