Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal and Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres are both injury doubts for Juventus’ local derby against Torino.

The highly rated midfielder suffered an adductor muscle injury in training and is expected to miss out the highly anticipated Derby di Torino, also known as Derby della Mole.

“Arturo Vidal pulled up in Tuesday’s workout due to an overload in his adductor muscles. The Chilean midfielder’s condition will be progressively monitored over the next few days,” club’s medical team announced on official website.

Vidal, 25, has been one of team’s most consistent performers this season, bagging 5 goals in 12 Serie A appearances.

He is, however, not the only player in doubt for the Torino clash, with defender Martin Caceres carrying an ankle knock.

“Martin Caceres missed out on Tuesday’s double workout after reporting for training with a pain in his left ankle,” a statement read.

“The defender was given an MRI scan which displayed a notable joint effusion and a minimal ankle ligament strain. His recovery time will be assessed over the coming days.”

Despite allowing Napoli to close the gap behind them to just two points, Juventus are still 1.50 (1/2) favourites to lift the Serie A title at Paddy Power.
