Udinese vs Inter 3-0The poor run of results finally came to an end as Udinese defeated Sassuolo away, but the Zebrette need to continue with promising performances if they are to revive their bid for European places.

Inter were somewhat unfortunate not to defeat Atalanta on the road, with the Nerazzurri now hoping to make amends at Friuli.

Francesco Guidolin clearly has one of the toughest jobs in football as he is seeing his key players leave every summer, while mostly unproven footballers are brought as replacements.

He has, nonetheless, done brilliantly at Friuli over the last few years, but things haven’t gone exactly to plan this time out.

While the Zebrette suffered an early exit from Europe, they have struggled to live up to their potential in Serie A, winning just three of first nine matches.

Midweek’s victory over relegation-threatened Sassuolo finally saw them return to the top half of the standings, with Udinese hoping for more of the same when they host Inter.

With Francesco Guidolin’s side picking up 10 points from first 5 home fixtures, losing only to leaders Roma, bear in mind home win pays 2.80 (9/5).

Giampiero Pinzi and Maicosuel miss out through injury and suspension respectively, whereas Dusan Basta is doubtful with a chest contusion.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Brkic – Heurtaux, Danilo, Domizzi – Pereyra, Lazzari, Allan, Badu, Silva – Muriel – Di Natale.

Inter Milan kicked off the new season surprisingly well given the circumstances, but they have since suffered a major dip in form.

The Nerazzurri are already six points behind their top 3 rivals, having won just one of last five league fixtures, although they were pretty unfortunate against both Torino and Atalanta.

While the 3-0 home defeat to Roma was definitely the lowest point of their campaign, Walter Mazzarri’s side have been producing promising performances of late, and they remain unbeaten on the road (W2 D3).

And even if they clearly face a difficult task against one of the best hosts in Serie A, Inter look a good bet at 2.70 (17/10).

Samir Handanovic and Mauro Icardi both face late fitness tests ahead of the Udinese clash, whereas Ishak Belfodil is banned.

Meanwhile, Javier Zanetti, Diego Milito, Hugo Campagnaro, McDonald Mariga and Cristian Chivu are not yet ready to return.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Handanovic – Rolando, Ranocchia, Juan Jesus – Jonathan, Guarin, Cambiasso, Kovacic, Nagatomo – Alvarez – Palacio.
