Udinese have no choice but to go for a win against Inter seeing they now trail third-placed Lazio by three points, whereas the Neroazzurri are in similar situation being further three points behind the Zebrette.

While largely impressing in the early stage of the season, the Friulani have been struggling to keep up with the leading Serie A sides in the second part of the league campaign.

The elimination from Europa League did help the team fully focus on domestic exploits, but injuries to star players prevented Francesco Guidolin’s side from keeping the rich vein of form that had served them so well earlier in the season.

The good news is Udinese remained in fourth place despite winning just one of last eight league games, but with Napoli, Roma and Inter closing in on them, the Friulani find themselves in a difficult position.

The victory over Inter would certainly kick-start their season and boost their Champions League hopes, so bear in mind BetVictor pays 2.40 (7/5) on home win.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Maurizio Domizzi and Giampiero Pinzi are all back in contention, but Gelson Fernandes is suspended and Mauricio Isla and Damiano Feronetti are injured.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Handanovic – Benatia, Danilo, Domizzi – Basta, Pinzi, Pazienza, Asamoah, Armero – Torje – Di Natale.

Inter are still unbeaten under Andrea Stramaccioni and they are showing a lot of improvement, but the Neroazzurri remain few points short of European places.

Following the home win over Siena, the Giuseppe Meazza outfit produced a solid performance away to Fiorentina, but they couldn’t turn their dominance into goals and had to settle for a goalless draw.

One point from Artemio Franchi left them two points behind Europa League places and six behind the final Champions League berth, which makes the game against Udinese a must-win for the Neroazzurri.

The visitors are boosted by the return of Wesley Sneijder, who is expected to start at Friuli, but Cristian Chivu and Javier Zanetti remain injury doubts. Walter Samuel and Luc Castaignos are out injured.

Considering that Inter have been playing well of late, odds of 3.20 (11/5) offered by BetVictor on away win could be worth a shot.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Cesar – Maicon, Lucio, Rannochia, Nagatomo – Stankovic, Cambiasso – Alvarez, Sneijder, Zarate – Milito.
