DiawaraItalian giants AS Roma are on the verge of recruiting Guinean midfielder Amadou Diawara from Bologna, Sky Sport Italia has learned.

The Giallorossi as well as few other top Italian sides have been hot on the trail of the 19-year-old footballer, who decided to go on strike after his current employers rejected several bids for his services.

And it appears that his controversial actions have yielded results as reports suggest Bologna have accepted a €15 million bid from Roma for his services.

It is believed that Diawara had earlier agreer personal terms with the Giallorossi, meaning the transfer should be completed in the coming days.

Amadou Diawara enjoyed a remarkable debut season in Italian Serie A, making 34 league appearances for Felsinei and catching the eye of several top clubs.

His potential new employers AS Roma have been made second favourites behind Juventus for the league title and they are currently priced at 7.00 (6/1).
