Napoli are reportedly in talks with Chelsea over a loan deal for French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
According to Sky in Italy, the Naples outfit have opened dialogue with the Blues over a deal that would see the 26-year-old join the club on a season-long loan. AC Milan were previously thought to be interested in bringing Bakayoko back to the San Siro after successful year with the club back in the 2018/19 season but talks seem to have stalled.
The midfielder, a title winner with Monaco, signed for Chelsea for approximately £40m back in 2017 but failed to impress, leaving then Blues boss Antonio Conte unconvinced. After his spell in Milan, he then joined former club AS Monaco on-loan last season, making 23 appearances in all competitions.
Both clubs were reported to have held an option to sign him permanently which neither exercised.
Whilst Napoli are currently in talks and favourites at the current time, it is also reported that Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain could be interested in Bakayoko.
Away from the transfer market, Gennaro Gattuso’s troops have a tough assignment this weekend as they do battle with Juventus in a bid to extend their perfect start to the Serie A season. They can be backed at a price of 3/1 with Betfair to earn victory in Turin on Sunday evening.
