Third-placed Lazio have got a good chance to cement their place in the Serie A top 4 with a win in a rearranged fixture against Udinese, a team that have also been on the rise of late.

The Biancocelesti were unfazed with the heavy investments a number of their top 4 rivals made in the summer and they rather focused on their own efforts.

Such an approach produced excellent results as Simone Inzaghi’s men enjoyed an excellent first part of the season, climbing to third in the overall standings.

While most first team regulars were in fine form, the likes of Ciro Immobile, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto especially impressed, and Lazio now face a real fight to keep hold of their star man.

Even if some of them leave, the Biancocelesti will earn serious cash in the process, so this already seems like a win-win situation.

Lazio did well to secure their place in the Coppa Italia semi-final, where they will be vying AC Milan for a place in the final, while at the same time impressing in Serie A.

The Biancocelesti held Inter to a goalless draw in Milan, while defeating Crotone (4-0), SPAL (5-2) and Chievo (5-1), so no wonder they are priced at 4.00 (3/1) to win by three goals or more.

Senad Lulic and Adam Marusic returned into action, while Stefan Radu returns from suspension and Felipe Caicedo and Davide Di Gennaro are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-2-1): Strakosha – Bastos, De Vrij, Wallace – Basta, Lucas, Parolo, Lulic – Luis Alberto, Milinkovic-Savic – Immobile.

While they were never in serious danger of getting relegated, Udinese failed to impress in recent years, but they are finally returning to the right track.

The Friulani have been thoroughly impressive since the start of December, climbing to ninth in the league standings and they can now further improve said position.

Udinese impressed to record five wins and two draws in last seven league matches, although they lost to Napoli as part of Coppa Italia.

Back to back draws against Chievo and SPAL could suggest they have suffered a dip in form, and the Friulani could struggle to match the red-hot Lazio at Stadio Olimpico.

Head coach Massimo Oddo is sweating over the fitness of Silvan Widmer and Gabriele Angella, while Valon Behrami and Ali Adnan are definitely out.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Bizzarri – Nuytinck, Danilo, Samir – Larsen, Barak, Hallfredsson, Jankto, Pezzella – Maxi Lopez – Lasagna.
