Sky Sport Italia is reporting that Inter Milan are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign Chilean midfielder Gary Medel from Cardiff City.
The two sides have been negotiating a summer transfer for a couple of weeks now and they finally appear close to an agreement.
And while Cardiff are holding out for €8.5 million, Inter’s latest offer stands at €7.5 million, although a new meeting has been scheduled for today where the two parties will attempt to sort out their differences.
Considering that the Nerazzurri are desperate to add the Chile star to their ranks, it is believed the deal will be made in the coming days.
Inter Milan hope to further improve on last season’s performances when they achieved a fifth-place finish, with the club chiefs hoping the team will mount a serious challenge for Champions League positions.
And with few more star players expected to follow Gary Medel, there may be value in odds of 3.30 (23/10) offered on Inter to finish in top 3.
