Alessio CerciInter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has confirmed he is keen to lure Alessio Cerci to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, albeit denying interest in Tottenham’s Aaron Lennon.

The Nerazzurri appear to be slowly returning to the right track as they first defeated Chievo away before producing a very good performance in the 2-2 draw with Lazio.

Inter came from two goals behind and should have probably completed the comeback, but they, nonetheless, hope to mount a serious top 3 challenge and are 15.00 (14/1) to finish the campaign in Champions League positions.

The Nerazzurri are expected to reinforce the squad in January and Roberto Mancini admits he is a big fan of Atletico Madrid forward Alessio Cerci.

“Lennon? We have not talked about him. This is not part of our plans, but there will probably be other players if we can get them.

“Cerci? He’s a possibility, but we’ll have to wait. He’s an Atletico Madrid player. We certainly lack players of a top level in that role.

“However, the team must continue to work regardless of any purchases. We have to find the right continuity for the whole of the game and this can only be done by working.”

Inter Milan go to the winter break from 11th position in the standings, albeit sitting mere six points behind third-placed Lazio.
