Verona vs TorinoLooking at this particular fixture before the season started, one would be forgiven for thinking this is a relegation six-pointer in the making, but the reality is that Hellas Verona and Torino are vying for Europa League positions.

Mostly thanks to some shrewd dealings in the summer transfer window, the Gialloblu enjoyed a bright start to the season and they never looked back.

Nobody really expected them to remain in the top half of the standings, but Andrea Mandorlini’s side are still within a touching distance of Europa League places.

Hellas Verona recovered well from a three-match losing run, having defeated Sassuolo away before coming from two goals behind to earn a 2-2 draw with leaders Juventus.

And given that they are clearly brimming with confidence at the moment, bear in mind home win pays 2.50 (3/2) at William Hill.

The Gialloblu may be winless in last three matches on home soil, but it has much to do with the fact they faced title contenders Napoli, Roma and Juventus during that period.

Verona go into the Torino clash in great spirits, especially since Domenico Maietta is the only unavailable player at the moment.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Rafael – Cacciatore, Marchese, Moras, Albertazzi – Romulo, Donadel, Hallfredsson – Iturbe, Toni, Gomez Taleb.

Just like their next opponents, Torino have been exceeding expectations this term, although their last season’s showings were a sign of things to come.

Boasting one of league’s best attacking partnerships, I Granata have climbed to eighth place in the Serie A standings and they are not without chances to clinch European qualification.

Home defeat to struggling Bologna was seen as a major setback, but the game against Hellas Verona could be a good opportunity to make amends for the loss.

Given that only six Serie A sides boast better away record than Torino, there may be value in odds of 3.10 (21/10) offered on away win at Unibet.

Matteo Darmian and Alessandro Gazzi have both resumed full training, meaning boss Giampiero Ventura has fully fit squad to choose from.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Padelli – Maksimovic, Gilk, Moretti – Darmian, Basha, Vives, Farnerud, Masiello – Cerci, Immobile.
