Genoa vs InterAfter the original fixture was suspended due to heavy rain in 28th minute, the remainder of the match will take place on Thursday evening.

There were no goals scored in the opening exchanges of the Genoa vs Fiorentina fixture, and it is Viola who enter the postponed game in better spirits.

Genoa had enjoyed a pretty good start to the season under Gian Piero Gasperini, recording impressive triumphs over AC Milan and Juventus, but they struggled to repeat those performances in other games.

Since the impressive victory over Serie A holders, the Rossoblu did well to hold Chievo to a goalless draw, but were then beaten by Inter Milan at the weekend.

In spite of some under-par results of late, Genoa are still not in problems as they have an 11-point cushion between them and the bottom three, but they will want to return to winning ways against Fiorentina.

The Rossoblu are unbeaten at home in the current Serie A campaign (W3 D4), but they could still face problems against in-form Fiorentina.

Key attacker Leonardo Pavoletti continues to miss out through injury, while Nikola Ninkovic could be drafted into the starting line-up.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-2-1): Perin – Izzo, Burdisso, Munoz – Edenilson, Rincon, Veloso, Laxalt – Rigoni, Ninkovic – Simeone.

For several years running, Fiorentina have been unable to meet the expectations and they cannot seem to mount a serious challenge for Champions League positions.

Viola have become regular in Europa League, but the fans and the club officials would obviously prefer to see the team in Europe’s elite competition.

This season did not have the best of starts, but the Fiorentina appear to be finally showing improvement, and now have a good chance to further close the gap behind their top 3 rivals.

Having defeated Palermo, Qarabag and Sassuolo in their last three fixtures, Viola can be backed at 3.10 (21/10) to see off Genoa as well.

Key midfielder Borja Valero is unlikely to be risked, while Argentine forward Hernan Toledo misses out through a muscle problem.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-2-1): Tatarusanu – Tomovic, Rodriguez, Astori – Tello, Vecino, Badelj, Milic – Bernardeschi, Ilicic – Kalinic.
