Fiorentina vs NapoliThis will be a perfect opportunity for high-flying Fiorentina to close the gap behind their top 3 rivals, although winning their third straight league fixture is likely to prove a difficult task.

Napoli remained in the title chase as they recorded a comfortable victory over Torino in midweek, and they will fancy their chances against weakened Viola.

Fiorentina clearly have a great thing going on at the moment, with Vincenzo Montella and his men showing constant improvement.

After they narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification last term, Viola could face an even tougher task this term, even if the team look stronger than last season.

Nevertheless, Fiorentina have returned to the right track following a small dip in form, with back to back wins over Juventus and Chievo helping the players restore the lost confidence.

Seeing as how the spirits are high at Artemio Franchi before the visit of Napoli, it is hardly surprising the hosts are 2.62 (13/8) favourites to claim maximum points.

Giuseppe Rossi will be leading the line once again and after netting 8 times in 9 league games, the forward is 2.50 (3/2) to score against the Azzurri as well.

The hosts will be without important defender Gonzalo Rodriguez, who is banned, whereas Matias Fernandez should be in contention.

On the other hand, Massimo Ambrosini, Mario Gomez, Ante Rebic, Josip Ilicic and Ahmed Hegazy remain on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Neto – Tomovic, Roncaglia, Savic, Pasqual – Aquilani, Pizarro, Valero – Joaquin, Rossi, Cuadrado.

Buoyed by the heavy summer recruitment, Napoli have enjoyed a strong start to the season and they have got to be considered serious title contenders this term.

The Azzurri’s title hopes did suffer a blow as they were beaten by impressive AS Roma, but they have since recorded two very good results.

While improving their chances of reaching the Champions League group stages with an away triumph over Marseille, Napoli also eased off to a win over Torino in midweek.

As a result, Rafael Benitez’s side remained in second place, albeit five points adrift of leaders Roma, and they are now 6.10 (51/10) to win the Serie A trophy.

A victory at Artemio Franchi would definitely be a step in the right direction, but odds of 2.80 (9/5) are enough to suggest they face an uphill task.

And while Camilo Zuniga and Miguel Britos remain sidelined, Paolo Cannavaro returns from suspension, whereas Valon Behrami and Jose Callejon are likely to be recalled.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Reina – Maggio, Albiol, Fernandez, Armero – Inler, Behrami – Callejon, Hamsik, Insigne – Higuain.
