Eintracht Frankfurt are set to explore the possibility of a swap deal as they attempt to secure the permanent signature of Andre Silva.

The Portuguese forward has been a big hit in his loan spell from AC Milan at the Deutsche Bank Park, netting 16 goals in all competitions, with some reports suggesting that the club are keen to sign him permanently. Despite not being able to afford the 24-year-old, Frankfurt’s supervisory board chairman Wolfgang Steubing has suggested that the club could look to swap Ante Rebic, who has spent the season at the San Siro, for the striker.

Talking to Bild, he said: “Everything that costs money is pushing us to the limits at the moment.

“Buying Silva would not be easy. In any case, the swap with Ante Rebic must be taken into account.”

It might well be possible that Milan would facilitate the move considering Rebic’s success with the club this season. Despite not being a consistent starter during the first-half of the campaign, he has pushed himself into the lineup, netting 11 Serie A goals since the turn of the year alone.

The Croatian sits at a price of 11/2 with Betfair to net the opening goal of the game against Sassuolo on Tuesday evening.
