Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon has announced that he is going to leave the club at the end of the season.

His contract expires at the conclusion of the campaign having rejoined the Italian giants in 2019 following a season with Paris Saint Germain.

In all, he has claimed ten Serie A titles in his time with the Old Lady but now aged 43, he has elected to bring his period with the club to an end.

Talking to beIN Sports, the Italian said: “We have reached the end of a cycle and so it is right for me to take my leave.

“This beautiful and very long experience with Juve will come to a definitive end this year.”

He is yet to reveal whether he is set to retire or continue playing but suggested that if he receives a tempting offer, he could be convinced to continue.

Buffon added: “Either I stop playing, or if I find a situation that motivates me to play or have a different life experience, I will take it into consideration.

“I feel I gave everything for Juve. I have received everything and more than this cannot be done.”

He will hope to add to the 683 appearances he has made for Juve in his career in the final few matches of the Serie A season, as Andrea Pirlo’s men aim to finish in the top four.

They can be backed at a price of 8/5 with Paddy Power to do just that.
