Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has admitted that he is getting frustrated with constant speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

The Frenchman has been linked with moves to both Manchester United and Barcelona in recent weeks following Atleti’s Champions League elimination at the hands of Juventus. However, he has admitted that he has chosen to ignore the rumours, and is getting ‘fed up’ with doubts over his future.

Talking to Marca, he said: “I’m already used to it and a little bit fed up, every year it’s the same so I’m used to it.”

The 28-year-old was strongly touted for a move to the Nou Camp last summer but elected to remain with Diego Simeone’s men and signed a new five-year contract.

He has been an inspirational signing for Atleti since joining from La Liga rivals Real Sociedad in July 2014. In 248 appearances for the club in all competitions, he has scored 130 goals and provided 48 assists.

The Frenchman has netted 12 league goals this season, an eye-watering 17 strikes behind current La Liga leading scorer Lionel Messi. Griezmann can still be backed to be named top goalscorer come the end of the campaign at odds of 500/1 with Paddy Power.
