Werder Bremen are searching for their fourth successive home win in Bundesliga as they prepare to take on Bayer Leverkusen, a team that have already won three away games this season.

After the squad that had finished the Bundesliga campaign in 9th place underwent major changes in the summer, nobody really believed Werder would be able to hit the ground running early on.

Indeed, Thomas Schaaf’s side experienced plenty of problems in the opening exchanges, but they are finally starting to show signs of improvement.

Weserstadion outfit may not have been to impressive on the travels, earning just two points from last four away games, but their home form has been excellent of late.

Having won their last three home games in Bundesliga, Werder can now be backed to extend the great run at 2.70 (17/10) offered by Coral.

Thomas Schaaf has no fresh injury worries, but Lukas Schmitz is suspended, while Francois Affolter, Raphael Wolf, Philipp Bargfrede and Aleksandar Stevanovic remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Mielitz – Gebre Selassie, Prodl, Sokratis, Fritz – Junuzovic – Aranutovic, de Bruyne, Hunt, Elia – Petersen.

Unlike their next opponents, Bayer Leverkusen chiefs opted for minimal changes during the summer, which gave the team an advantage over their rivals for a top 4 finish.

Die Werkself did well to ensure their place in the Europa League knockout stages, while climbing to fifth in the Bundesliga standings.

With second-placed Borussia Dortmund just one point in front of them, Bayer could easily climb several places in the standings with three points from this match.

Having already won three away games in the league this term and four out of last five regardless of the venue, Bayer Leverkusen are 2.75 (7/4) with BetVictor to emerge victorious from this match.

Michal Kadlec, Daniel Schwaab, Karim Bellarabi, David Yelldell and Sidney Sam are all out of contention through injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Leno – Carvajal, Wollscheid, Toprak, Hosogai – L. Bender, Reinartz, Rolfes – Castro, Kiessling, Schurrle.
