Having lost their opening game to Czech Republic, Ukraine now need to take at least four points from games against tournament favourites England and Spain, which now looks like a mission impossible.

Ukraine held their ground in the first half of the Czech Republic game, but they then conceded two goals in the early stage of the second period, and all they could do was to score the consolation goal to Maksim Biliy.

Pavlo Yakovenko’s side have no choice but to try and win this game and Ukraine are 4.80 (19/5) with Betfair to produce an upset and claim maximum points.

Captain Taras Stepanenko has been ruled out of the tournament with an adductor injury, but left-back Yevhen Selin could return after missing the opening game with a fever.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Kanibolotskiy – Krivtsov, Chesnakov, Putivtsev, Selin – Butko, Rakitskiy, Morozyuk, Konoplyanka – Yarmolenko, Zozluya.

England enter the second round of the tournament with one point to their tally after the Three Lions salvaged a draw thanks to Danny Welbeck’s late equalizer against Spain.

Stuart Pearce’s side now need a victory against Ukraine in order to increase their chances of making it to the semis, but that will be no easy job.

After sharing spoils with Spain, England are now third favourites to win group B, with Bet365 paying 3.50 (5/2) if the Three Lions finish top of their group.

Coach Pearce has absolutely no injury worries ahead of the Ukraine game, and he could field the same side that started the Spain match.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Fielding – Walker, Smalling, Jones, Bertrand – Cleverley, Mancienne, Henderson, Rose – Sturridge, Welbeck.
