Lille vs MonacoStruggling Nice aim to finally end a five-match losing run against title-chasing Monaco, but that is going to be a difficult task with the Principality Club winning their last two fixtures.

Les Aiglons enjoyed a magnificent run last season, when they finished the league campaign in fourth place, but they have experienced all kinds of problems this term.

Early exit from Europe did prove to be a blessing in disguise as the team improved their league position mostly thanks to strong performances at home, but they have since suffered a serious dip in form.

Nice appear to be running on empty at the moment, having lost last five league matches, although a tricky fixture list certainly played a part.

Nevertheless, with les Aiglons slipping to 15th in the standings, they need to return to winning ways as quickly as possible, and they are 5.00 (4/1) to do that against Monaco.

Serious injury crisis has been one of the main reasons behind the dismal run of results, and the situation does not seem to be improving.

Nemanja Pejcinovic faces a fitness test, while Mathieu Bodmer and Eric Bautheac could be back in contention.

Meanwhile, David Ospina, Kevin Anin, Mouez Hassen, Neal Maupay, Xavier Pentecote, Mahamane Traore, Jeremy Pied, Romain Genevois and Yoan Cardinale are not yet ready to return.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Veronese – Puel, Gomis, Pejcinovic, Kolodziejczak – Mendy, Digard – Bruls, Abriel, Eysseric – Cvitanich.

Monaco have suffered a dip in form following an impressive start to the season, but they are still doing well to keep up with leaders PSG.

Back to back setbacks against Lille and Evian proved costly for Claudio Ranieri’s side, but the team then showed a lot of character to beat Nantes and Rennes even with several important players on the sidelines.

The good news is that star striker Radamel Falcao should return after missing the Rennes triumph with a thigh problem, so no wonder Monaco are considered 1.83 (5/6) favourites to win at Alianz Riviera.

Having ended a five-match winless run on the road against Nantes, the Principality club will be feeling confident of pouring more misery on injury-hit Nice.

Claudio Ranieri will have almost fully fit squad to choose from, with Yannick Ferreira Carrasco the only injury doubt.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Subasic – Raggi, Carvalho, Abidal, Kurzawa – Toulalan, Obbadi – Rodriguez, Moutinho, Martial – Falcao.
