Netherlands vs TurkeyRevived Netherlands will be hoping to build on the 2-0 win over Spain and further improve the atmosphere in the squad ahead of the Euro 2016 qualifier against Latvia when they host Team USA at Amsterdam ArenA.

Jurgen Klinsmann’s side arrive without several star men, but they are buoyed by good results in friendlies against Switzerland and Mexico.

Netherlands experienced all sorts of problems after the very successful 2014 World Cup campaign, with Guus Hiddink struggling to keep the results respectable.

Oranje had a very poor start to the Euro 2016 qualifiers, taking just seven points from first five fixtures, and they now sit in third place in Group A, five points behind automatic qualifying berths.

Nertherlands finally showed some improvement in March as they defeat Spain in an international friendly, but only after they had failed to win the qualifier against Turkey.

Oranje will face Latvia on the road on 12th June in the final qualifier of the current season, but they first need to negotiate the USA game, where Guss Hiddink’s charges are 1.55 (5/9) to emerge victorious.

Robin van Persie has been recalled to the squad, but Budnesliga stars Arjen Robben and Bas Dost have been ruled out through injury.

Wesley Sneijder and Jeremain Lens will not take part in the USA clash as they will represent their respective clubs in Cup finals, but Stefan de Vrij, Ron Vlaar and Jetro Willems have resumed training.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Vermeer – Janmaat, De Vrij, Martins Indi, Willems – Wijnaldum, de Jong, Blind – Depay, Huntelaar, Narsingh.

Following a very good showing at the 2014 World Cup finals, United States boss Jurgen Klinsmann was determined to continue the uptrend in fortunes and in turn scheduled some high-profile friendlies to help his players test their skills against some of world’s top sides.

USA were defeated by Colombia, Ireland, Chile and Denmark, but shared spoils with Ecuador, Honduras and Switzerland, while beating Mexico in April.

Team USA are now set to face the likes of Netherlands and Germany as they step up preparations for the Gold Cup, and Jurgen Klinsmann has high hopes ahead of the two highly anticipated encounters.

The problem is that Jozy Altidore and Alejandro Bedoja have suffered injuries, while Clint Dempsey misses out as his wife is set to give berth.

Nevertheless, with the MLS campaign in full swing, the visitors will have a decent chance of matching Netherlands on Friday, so bear in mind that away win pays 7.50 (13/2).

Probable starting line-up (4-1-3-2): Guzan – Yedlin, Alvarado, Brooks, Chandler – Beckerman – Diskerud, Bradley, Williams – Agudelo, Zardes.
