Borussia Moenchengladbach forward Marco Reus has moved to deny reports linking him with a move to Bayern Munich.

The Germany international has been in scintillating form this season and managed to attract interest from a host of high-profile clubs.

Bayern Munich officials expressed their interest in the player on numerous occasions, but the player insists he was not contacted by the Bavarians.

“I have not received an offer from Bayern Munich. The people writing this kind of stuff clearly know more than I do,” Reus was quoted as saying in Express.

“I don’t know whether these kinds of reports from Munich can put extra pressure on a club or player. I don’t know the reason behind it.

“I have a contract until 2015, so it’s a realistic option that I’ll stay with Gladbach after this season.”

Bayern Munich sit three points clear of Borussia Dortmund and Schalke after the first part of the league campaign and the Bavarians are 1.32 (8/25) with Betfair to lift the Bundesliga title.
