The arch rivals of English football are set to square off at Old Trafford in what should be a great game of football.

Manchester United go into the game boosted by the amazing comeback against Chelsea, as the Red Devils managed to salvage one point from Stamford Bridge after coming from three goals down.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s side thus remained close to league leaders Manchester City and they now hope to put an extra pressure on their local rivals by winning this game.

Having won four of the last five games at Old Trafford, it is little wonder that United are 1.90 (9/10) with BetVictor to claim maximum points.

The reigning Premier League champions continue to struggle with injuries and they are still without Darren Fletcher, Nemanja Vidic, Anders Lindegaard and Michael Owen.

On the other hand, Nani, Phil Jones, Tom Cleverley, Anderson, Rio Ferdinand and Chris Smalling are all rated doubtful.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-1-1): De Gea – Rafael, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra – Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Young – Rooney – Welbeck.

Liverpool’s top 4 chances suffered a new blow as the Reds shared spoils with Tottenham, although a goalless draw against one of the title contenders cannot be considered as a poor result.

Kenny Dalglish’s side dominated the proceedings in their home clash with Spurs, thus showing they have come a long way since the 4-0 defeat at White Hart Lane.

Steven Gerrard was Reds’ most influential player and he is expected to step up the plate at Old Trafford as well, just like Luis Suarez, who returned into action after the eight-match ban.

Being four points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea, Liverpool have no choice but to try and record a win at Old Trafford and they are 4.50 (7/2) with Betfair to do so.

Jose Enrique should return from a hamstring injury, whereas Luis Suarez is set to start his first game after quite a while.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Reina – Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Jose Enrique – Henderson, Adam, Gerrard – Suarez, Carroll, Downing.
