Juventus have announced Andrea Barzagli will undergo a medical later today before his transfer from Wolfsburg is finalized.

The World Cup winner is set to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal that should keep him at Olimpico until 2013.

Barzagli will thus return to Italy following a three-year spell in Germany and he will provide cover for Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci.

Once Brazagli’s transfer is officially completed, Juventus will allow Nicola Legrotagglie to leave the club, with Brescia and Cesena keen on the veteran centre-back.

Juventus return into action tomorrow as they play host to Roma in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, hoping to get back to winning ways after missing a chance to beat Sampdoria at the weekend.

Juventus are 2.38 (11/8) to win the game at 888Sport, with price on Roma 2.75 (7/4). Draw pays 3.20 (11/5).
