Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham has reportedly travelled to Germany for a medical with Borussia Dortmund.

According to Sky Sports, the 17-year-old took a flight on Thursday morning to undergo medical tests with the German giants after they agreed a £26m deal with Championship outfit Birmingham.

In concluding the deal, it appears that they have beaten off considerable competition for his signature from the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea.

He had yet to sign professional terms with the Blues but now looks like he is set to compete with Jadon Sancho for a place on the wing at the Signal Iduna Park.

Since making his debut for the club in a Carabao Cup clash with Portsmouth at the start of this season, Bellingham has gone on to make 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

His current club Birmingham are still in action as they attempt to avoid relegation from the Championship. At the current time, they sit 19th in the table, five points clear of the drop zone with two matches set to play.

They could confirm their position in the division this weekend with a win against Preston North End. Bellingham sits at 17/2 with William Hill to net the opening goal of the match.
