Hannover vs HerthaHertha will be looking to return to winning ways after losing to Hoffenheim last time out and remain in European positions with a good result on Friday night.

Borussia M’gladbach, on the other hand, have yet to hit the ground running and they could really use an away win at the moment.

Despite spending a large chunk of the previous Bundesliga campaign in Champions League positions, Hertha ended up missing out on Europe altogether thanks to a shocking finish of the season.

The team have again enjoyed a bright start in Germany’s elite division, but they will obviously attempt to avoid last year’s scenario.

Hertha started the season strongly with three straight wins, and even though they have since experienced some problems, Pal Dardai’s side keep flying high in fifth position.

The Olympiastadion outfit were narrowly beaten by Hoffenheim last time out and will now attempt to return to winning ways against Borussia M’gladbach.

It is important to note though that Hertha have lost five successive Bundesliga meetings with die Fohlen, which is definitely a cause for concern.

Coach Pal Dardai again faces selection problems, with Vladimir Darida, Sebastian Langkamp, Nils-Jonathan Korber and Ondrej Duda out injured, while Valentin Stocker is banned.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Jarstein – Pekarik, Stark, Brooks, Mittelstadt – Skjelbred, Lustenberger – Weiser, Kalou, Haraguchi – Ibisevic.

Borussia M’gladbach have found it hard to balance between their Bundesliga and Champions League campaigns, but they still have time to make things right.

Following a difficult period, die Fohlen have been showing improvement of late, and they have now only lost to Bayern Munich in their last five fixtures.

Borussia missed the opportunity to improve their chances of reaching the Champions League knockout stages as they could only muster a goalless draw with Celtic in midweek, and are now three points behind second-placed Man City.

Meanwhile, die Fohlen occupy 11th position in the Bundesliga standings and can be backed at 3.10 (21/10) to see off top 4 rivals Hertha.

The rotation policy is set to continue, meaning that Raffael should come in for Thorgan Hazard, as the Brazilian has now fully recovered from injury.

However, the likes of Alvaro Dominguez, Josio Drmic, Andreas Christensen, Mamadou Doucoure and Marvin Schulz are all out injured.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-1-2): Sommer – Korb, Vestergaard, Elvedi – Johnson, Strobl, Kramer, Wendt – Stindl – Raffael, Hahn.
