Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has revealed his ‘full trust’ in his team and their ability to lift the FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday.

The Bavarians head into the meeting with Mexican outfit Tigres in Al Rayyan as overwhelming favourites to add to their trophy haul after getting past Al Ahly in the semi-finals.

Flick has warned against a tough tie in the final but is confident of claiming the trophy come full time.

He said: “It is up to us to put pressure on our opponents and to play our game when we have possession.

“We did it well in the semi-final. I have full trust in my team.

“We have to be alert. Tigres are very quick in their build-up. They work well down the wings and have players in the centre who score.

“We have to be there from the start and convert our chances this time.”

Should Bayern lift the Club World Cup, it would be their sixth trophy under manager Flick since his appointment in November 2019 following success in the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and of course the UEFA Champions League. It is understandable that they are favourites then and can be backed at a price as low as 1/5 with Betfair to win.
