Barcelona are on the verge of signing Cesc Fabregas, according to reports from Spain.

The everlasting transfer saga involving the Spain international looks  set for a closure, as the deal taking Cesc Fabregas to Camp Nou is close to fruition.

The Catalans have been keeping tabs on the highly regarded midfielder for quite a while and they are now ready to launch the final assault.

Realizing the player’s wish to join Barcelona, Arsenal have come to terms with losing the influential midfielder and they have set the asking price to €40 million.

Pep Guardiola has just been given a €45 million transfer kitty, meaning that he will have just enough money to complete the signing.

The mere fact that the player’s agent Darren Dean is set to arrive to Barcelona proves that the deal should soon be completed, even if president Sandro Rosell is not too keen on the transfer.

Nevertheless, Rosell respects Guardiola’s wish to sign the Spain international and he is unlikely to block the deal.

Taking all this into consideration, you should know that Victor Chandler still pays 1.67 (2/3) on Fabregas to join Barcelona this summer, while the odds are 2.20 (6/5) on the Spaniard to remain at the Emirates.
