Red Bull Salzburg wonderkid Erling Haaland is potentially edging close to a January move after holding talks with Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, according to reports.

Sky in Germany suggest that the 19-year-old flew into Germany on Wednesday, holding talks with the two clubs over a potential winter switch.

Dortmund are apparently looking for a new forward following the injury suffered by Spaniard Paco Alcacer, whilst Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann is said to be an admirer of the Norwegian striker and sees him as the perfect partner for German international Timo Werner.

It is believed that Leipzig will find it easier to complete a deal for Haaland considering that the two clubs are very closely associated due to the Red Bull links.

Meanwhile, he has also been linked to other European giants such as Manchester United and Juventus as a result of the blitzing form he has displayed so far this season.

Haaland has netted 28 goals in only 22 games, including eight in the UEFA Champions League. He has also already notched four hat tricks this season.

According to the bookies, it is Dortmund who are more fancied to secure the striker’s signature during the January transfer window. They sit at a price of 7/4 with Betfair, with Leipzig slightly behind at 4/1.
