England will be hoping to continue their winning run this evening when they host four-time world time champions Italy in Tuesday evening’s friendly international at Wembley Stadium.

Roy Hodgson’s side strengthened their grip at the top their group in qualifying for Euro 2016 with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Lithuania on Friday evening, meaning they head in to this, their final game until June on the back of seven straight victories.

Four different players got on the scoresheet at the Three Lions national stadium last time out, with captain Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Raheem Sterling and man of the moment Harry Kane two of those on target.
Rooney’s seventh minute opener moved him to with two goals of Sir Bobby Charlton’s record haul of 49, Welbeck’s strike took him to the top of the goalscorers charts in qualifying for next year’s tournament in France.

Sterling and Kane’s goals were the first for their country, and the latter will be rewarded with his first England start here.

Both Welbeck and Sterling will miss the game through injury, along with James Milner and Leighton Baines, and Southampton man Ryan Bertrand ready to win his third cap in place of the Everton full-back.

Premier League top scorer Kane is priced at 9.0 (8/1) to get the first goal of the game with a number of firms, with Rooney favourite at 7.0 (6/1).

The home win is priced at a best price of 3.2 (11/5), with the visitors a 2.63 (13/8) shot with Betfred, who have the draw at 3.25 (9/4).

Italy are also unbeaten in seven, but go in to this game on the back of Saturday’s 2-2 draw in Bulgaria, where they needed a late equaliser from Sampdoria’s Eder to salvage a point.

Manager Antonio Conte has already revealed his starting line-up, with defender Giorgio Cheillini the only survivor from the team who beat England in the group stages of the World Cup last summer.

Eder is 8.0 (7/1)to open the scoring, as is Southampton forward Graziano Pelle though the 29 year old has just one goal for club or country in 2015.

Italy ran out 2-1 winners in Manaus back in June, while England won by the same scoreline in a friendly in Switzerland in August 2012, two months after the sides faced each other in the quarter-finals of Euro 2012, where the Italians were victorious on penalties.

A number of bookmakers offer 2.0 (1/1) for both teams to score in the game, while William Hill offer 2.38 (11/8) for there to be three or more goals.
