Chelsea vs Everton preview

Chelsea will see this as a must-win game following two setbacks in the Premiership, so everything suggests Carlo Ancelotti will field a very strong side.

After Petr Cech’s penalty save salvaged a draw against Fulham, Chelsea ace a difficult fight for the top 4 place, but they will have to leave the Premier League campaign behind and focus on Everton.

Fernando Torres is cup-tied, meaning that Didier Drogba is likely to return to the starting line-up, but Alex, Benayoun and Zhirkov remain sidelined.

Everton remain one of the most inconsistent sides in England as they have the quality to match even the title chasers but they often find a way to disappoint their fans, with the weekend’s defeat to Bolton the perfect proof.

Nonetheless, the Toffees usually play well against the top 4 sides and they could easily cause Chelsea all sorts of problems at Stamford Bridge.

David Moyes will be without Louis Saha and Jack Rodwell, but the boss has no other injury worries and is likely to field a very strong side.

Victor Chandler pays 1.57 (4/7) on home win, which looks like a fair price, while Everton are 6.5 (11/2) to produce an upset and win at Stamford Bridge. Draw pays 4.20 (16/5).
