Borussia Dortmund have made their third signing of the summer by bringing in Real Madrid youngster Reinier on a long-term loan deal.

The Brazilian midfielder, who has yet to make an appearance for Los Blancos since arriving from Flamengo in January, is set to stay at the Westfalenstadion on a temporary deal for the next two seasons.

Speaking upon completion of the switch, the 18-year-old said: “I’m happy that I’m now at BVB. The club is known for its focus on young players and improving them.

“I would like to learn a lot and play a lot here, help the team and be successful. I hope that we’ll experience many happy moments together.”

Reinier, a forward thinking player equally adept at playing on either wing or indeed in the centre, moved to Real Madrid after a exhilarating season with Flamengo in which he scored six goals in 14 league appearances, as the club lifted the title as well as the Copa Libertadores.

He will now add to the attacking options in Dortmund that already includes Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus, Jude Bellingham, Giovanni Reyna, Julian Brandt and Thorgan Hazard.

The Bundesliga is set to kick off in just under a month’s time and Lucien Favre’s Dortmund can be backed at a price of 9/2 with William Hill.
