In the final preparation game before the start of Copa America, Argentina play host to under-strength Albania, clearly looking for a morale-boosting win.

After beating Paraguay 4:2, Los Albicelestes suffered two successive defeats to Nigeria and Poland, and even though Sergio Batista had fielded under-strength sides in both games, the results were still pretty disappointing.

The coach is now set to field his strongest side against Albania, which should result in a very strong performance from the hosts, so it’s no wonder that Argentina are just 1.11 (1/9) with Victor Chandler to win the game.

Sergio Batista has yet to cut three players from his 26-man squad, meaning that the footballers will be very motivated to impress the boss and keep their place in the squad.

Argentina squad:

Goalkeepers: Sergio Romero (AZ Alkmaar), Juan Pablo Carrizo (River Plate), Mariano Andújar (Catania).

Defenders: Gabriel Milito (Barcelona), Ezequiel Garay (Real Madrid), Nicolás Burdisso (Roma), Javier Zanetti (Inter), Nicolás Pareja and Marcos Rojo (Spartak Moscow), Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City), Luciano Monzón (Boca Juniors).

Midfielders: Javier Mascherano (Barcelona), Lucas Biglia (Anderlecht), Ever Banega (Valencia), Esteban Cambiasso (Inter), Javier Pastore (Palermo), Diego Valeri (Lanús), Enzo Pérez (Estudiantes de La Plata), Fernando Gago (Real Madrid).

Forwards: Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Angel Di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain (Real Madrid), Sergio Agüero (Atlético Madrid), Ezequiel Lavezzi (Napoli), Carlos Tévez (Manchester City), Diego Milito (Inter).

This will be a historic match for minnows Albania as they have never faced such an illustrious opponent, so the visitors are hoping they can avoid a heavy defeat in Buenos Aires.

Josip Kuze’s side have notched up some pretty good results during the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, meaning they enter this match high on spirits.

However, the boss faces unbelievable selection problems as no less than 10 players from the original list were forced to withdraw, leaving the gaffer with a very inexperienced squad.

Hamdi Salihi wasn’t granted a permission to travel to Argentina by his club Rapid Wien, whereas captain Lorik Cana decided to fully focus on finding a new club.

Considering that only five from the 18 players have been playing regularly in the Euro 2012 qualifiers, Albania look destined for a real beating in Buenos Aires, so odds of 2.30 (13/10) offered on Argentina to beat -3 European handicap do look tempting.

Albania squad:

Goalkeepers: Beqaj (Ermis Aradipu), Hidi (Olimpiakos Nikozia)

Defenders: Vangjeli (Aris Selaniku), Lila (Tirana), Muzaka (Skenderbeu), Vrapi (Skenderbeu), Bici (Skenderbeu), Arapi (Skenderbeu), Veliu (Flamurtari), Sallaj (Zvicer 2)

Midfielders: Bulku (Hajduk Split), Hyka (Tirana), Lika (Tirana), Vila (Dinamo Zagreb), Allmuça (Skenderbeu)

Forwards: Bakaj (Dinamo Bukuresht), Vajushi (Vllaznia), Kapllani (Augsburg).
