Wolfsburg vs EvertonHigh-flying Wolfsburg aim to get closer to winning the first trophy since 2009 by defeating struggling Napoli in the first leg at their Volkswagen Arena.

Meanwhile, the Azzurri finally showed some improvement as they hammered Fiorentina in Serie A, and they are well aware that this competition is their only chance to securing Champions League qualification.

The current season is clearly the most successful for Wolfsburg since the maiden Bundesliga win in 2009, even if the Wolves have won nothing yet this term.

However, they have mathematically secured Champions League qualification with six games to spare, while entering the closing stages of two other competitions.

And while Wolves will be vying third division side Armenia for a place in the DFB Pokal final, they face a much tougher task when facing Napoli in the Europa League quarter-final.

But, with Wolfsburg in much better form than the opposition at the moment, you should know that home win pays 1.83 (5/6) at Ladbrokes.

The Wolves have made it three wins in a row by defeating Hamburg at the weekend and they will be feeling confident ahead of the Napoli game.

The good news is there are no fresh selection worries for boss Dieter Hecking, with Aaron Hunt the only unavailable footballer at the moment.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Benaglio – Vieiringa, Naldo, Knoche, Rodriguez – Guilavogui, Gustavo – Perisic, De Bruyne, Caliguri – Dost.

This season has quickly turned into a major disappointment for Napoli, although the Azzurri still have time to save their pride.

A five-match winless run in Serie A all but ended their top 3 hopes, meaning that the San Paolo outfit will only qualify for the Champions League if they win the Europa League.

That will be no easy task given that they are now up against one of Europe’s in-form sides, but the Azzurri do have quality to get something from this game.

The weekend’s 3-0 victory over Fiorentina was extremely important for the players’ confidence and it definitely improved the spirits ahead of the trip to Germany.

Juan Camilo Zuniga didn’t make the squad after pulling his hamstring, while forward Michu is the only other injured player.

Full-back Ivan Strinic was passed fit, but it remains to be seen whether he will again be preferred to Faouzi Ghoulam on the left flank.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Andujar – Maggio, Albiol, Koulibaly, Ghoulam – Lopez, Inler – Callejon, Hamsik, Gabbiadini – Higuain.
