MSK Ruzomberok gave a good account of themselves in the first leg and they are still not giving up on the place in the next stage.

In spite of the 1-0 win at Goodison Park, new-look Everton will have to show some improvement if they want to avoid a surprise in Slovakia.

Following a third-place finish in the league last term, MSK Ruzomberok began their European campaign early on this season.

The team showed a great deal of character to come back from losing positions against both Vojvodina and SK Brann, thus setting up the clash against star-studded Everton side.

With five competitive fixtures under their belt, the Slovakians looked good at Merseyside, proving a tough nut to crack, but they eventually had to settle for a 1-0 loss.

Ruzomberok then continued the good run of form with a 4-0 hammering of Senica on domestic stage, but they now face bigger fish to fry.

Captain Marek Sapara returned to the side after recovering from illness and he could now keep his place, while Dalibor Takac could make way.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Macik – P. Maslo, J. Maslo, Kruzliak, Kupec – Kochan, Qose, Sapara – Daniel, Haskic, Gal-Andrezly.

Everton owners have finally decided to invest serious cash into the playing squad in an attempt to take the club to the new level and everybody is eager to see how that will pan out.

The Toffees have so far recruited the likes of Rooney, Keane, Klaassen, Pickford, Sandro, Onyekuru and Martina, and it is now up to Ronald Koeman to try and rebuild the squad as quickly as possible.

Everton did not exactly impress in their first competitive fixture against Ruzomberok, but they did record an important 1-0 triumph thanks to Leighton Baines.

The Toffees now need to ensure they have the right mental approach in the return match as well as the Slovakian side have been in fine form of late.

There have been no fresh selection worries for Ronald Koeman, but Yannick Bolasie, Seamus Coleman, James McCarthy and Ramiro Funes Mori are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Stekelenburg – Martina, Williams, Keane, Baines – Gueye, Schneiderlin, Klaassen – Sandro, Rooney, Mirallas.
