FIorentina vs RomaAS Roma are in the driving seat after the 1-1 draw at Artemio Franchi, but a four-match winless run is a definitely cause for concern at Stadio Olimpico.

Meanwhile, Viola made amends for the heavy loss to Lazio by defeating AC Milan at the weekend and they will fancy their chances of surprising the Giallorossi on Thursday.

While Rudi Garcia’s charges had been pretty impressive until the turn of the year, they have looked like a completely different side in 2015.

Since beating Udinese in the first match of the new year, Roma have only won two of next fifteen matches on all fronts, and this season is quickly turning into a major disappointment.

The Giallorossi were knocked out of the Coppa Italia at the hands of Fiorentina, while their Serie A title bid is already over.

What is more, Roma are now just four points clear of fourth-placed Napoli, meaning their Champions League qualification is in danger as well.

Despite completely outclassing Sampdoria at the weekend, the Giallorossi ended up losing 2-0, and they go into the Fiorentina clash low on confidence.

With Maicon, Castan, Balzaretti, Strootman and Sanabria still sidelined, odds of 2.15 (23/20) offered on home win do not look too tempting.

The good news is the likes of Daniele De Rossi, Kostas Manolas and Victor Ibarbo are back in contention, but Radja Nainggolan is banned.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Skorupski – Torosidis, Manolas, Yanga-Mbiwa, Holebas – Pjanic, De Rossi, Keita – Gervinho, Totti, Ljajic.

Unlike their league rivals, Fiorentina have reserved their best performances for the second part of the season and they have a great chance to make this season a huge success.

Having defeated Juventus in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semis on the road, Viola are closing in on the first major trophy, while they have improved their Champions League hopes as well.

Fiorentina are now four points behind third-placed Lazio with eleven games to go, meaning they will have more than enough chances to try and catch the Biancocelesti.

Viola did well to take the lead in the first leg of their Europa League clash with AS Roma, but eventually had to settle for a 1-1 draw, and they are now 3.00 (2/1) shot to qualify for the next stage.

Coach Vincenzo Montella will continue to rotate his squad, meaning the likes of Joaquin, Mohamed Salah and Milan Badelj should be recalled.

Alberto Gilardino and Alessandro Diamanti are ineligible, whereas Mario Gomez, David Pizarro, Giuseppe Rossi and Ciprian Tatarusanu are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Neto – Tomovic, Rodriguez, Basanta, Alonso – Fernandez, Badelj, Valero – Joaquin, Babacar, Salah.
