Real Betis will be looking to build on weekend’s 3-1 victory over Valencia when they host Lyon at the start of their Europa League campaign, while les Gones arrive at Estadio Benito Villamarin desperate to end a five-match winless run.

Los Verdiblancos haven’t quite managed to take full advantage of what was a breakthrough season for them, having seen a number of important players leave the club during the summer.

Bafetimbi Gomis and Jimmy Briand have since been restored to the first team set-up, but they couldn’t help les Gones beat Rennes at the weekend, meaning they are now on a five-match winless run.
