Liverpool vs Man UtdBuoyed by the amazing support from the stands, Liverpool deservedly enjoyed a resounding victory in the first leg and they are now the favourites to go through.

Manchester United are not exactly in the best position to overturn a two-goal deficit considering they are on a three-match winless run at the moment.

The Red Devils find themselves between a rock and a hard place at the moment, as they are still competing on three fronts and have a number of important players missing.

It is not easy to prioritize at the moment given that Man Utd still have a chance of finishing in Premier League top 4, as well as of making it to the FA Cup semis.

Meanwhile, Europa League could be their alternative route to playing Champions League football and it is not as if they can take any game against bitter rivals Liverpool lightly.

The Red Devils were somewhat fortunate to avoid crashing out of the FA Cup at the weekend, and they are now 2.65 (33/20) to see off the Reds on Thursday night.

The latest reports suggest Louis van Gaal will field his strongest side against Liverpool, and the manager will be glad to welcome back Juan Mata from domestic suspension.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin should both be recalled, with Matteo Darmian also expected to start.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea – Varela, Smalling, Rojo, Darmian – Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger – Mata, Herrera, Martial – Rashford.

Liverpool have had their share of problems this season, but they appear to be on the road to recovery and still have time to turn the current campaign into a success.

The Reds have shown a great deal of character of late, recording three straight wins in all competitions, with the last of those arguably the most impressive.

The Europa League clash against Manchester United reminded everyone of those glorious European nights at Anfield, and Jurgen Klopp’s men stood up to the occasion.

Led by the impressive Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool completely outclassed their Premier League rivals, and should have probably won by a greater margin.

Seeing that they head into the return leg high on confidence, the Reds look a good bet at odds of 2.90 (19/10) offered at bet365.

Jurgen Klopp should have James Milner back after illness, but he is unlikely to make any changes to the side that won the first leg.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Mignolet – Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno – Henderson, Can – Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho – Sturridge.
