Barcelona vs CelticScottish champions Celtic have been handed a tough draw in the Europa League first knockout stage, but it would appear as though it is Inter Milan that dreads the clash at Parkhead.

Roberto Mancini’s side have recorded two convincing wins in a row, but they still face an uphill task on a coldThursday evening in Glasgow.

Many believed Celtic would have no problems dominating the Scottish Premier League after bitter rivals Rangers had been relegated to the fourth tier, but while Bhoys did win the first two titles with ease, things have been quite different this season.

The Bhoys have only recently managed to create a decent advantage at the top having won last six league matches, while also enjoying some cup success.

Celtic defeated Rangers in the first Old Firm derby after three years, before enjoying a 2-0 triumph over Dundee in the Scottish Cup.

Ronny Deila’s charges now go into the Inter game brimming with confidence and they can be backed at 3.10 (21/10) to emerge victorious.

The Norwegian coach is sweating over the fitness of winger Kris Commons, who is hoping to recover from a hamstring problem.

James Forrest should be in contention, but Mikael Lustig and Charlie Mulgrew are both expected to miss out the Thursday’s game.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Gordon – Matthews, Denayer, van Dijk, Izaguirre – Brown, Biton – Mackay-Steven, Armstrong, Johansen – Griffiths.

Despite the arrival of Roberto Mancini and several high-quality players, Inter Milan continue to struggle on all fronts.

The Nerazzurri finally ended a three-match losing run as they enjoyed big wins over Palermo and Atalanta, but they, nonetheless, remain ten points behind Champions League positions.

Roberto Mancini is well aware that winning the Europa League title would be the only way to secure Champions League qualification, which is enough to suggest he should field a strong side at Parkhead.

Inter Milan have won 7 of last 12 Europa League matches on the road, and they are 2.50 (3/2) to see off Celtic in Glasgow.

Lukas Podolski has not been registered for the competition as the Nerazzurri opted to include Xherdan Shaqiri and Davide Santon.

Former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is in the squad, but Yuto Nagatomo, Jonathan, Marco Andreolli and Danilo D’Ambrosio are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Handanovic – Santon, Vidic, Ranocchia, Dodo – Kovacic, Kuzmanovic, Hernanes – Shaqiri – Icardi, Palacio.
