Benfica vs JuventusHigh-flying Benfica will attempt to make it to the Europa League final for the second time in a row by defeating Juventus in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the Serie A leaders arrive at Estadio da Luz hoping to continue the great run in Europe and edge closer to winning another major trophy.

After narrowly missing out on three major trophies last term, Benfica ensured to avoid a similar scenario, with one title already in the bag.

With two games to go the Eagles clinched their 33rd league title and the first since 2010, while they have impressed on other fronts as well.

Benfica made it to Taca de Portugal final by eliminating arch rivals FC Porto, the same team they will face in the Taca da Liga semis.

And with Jorge Jesus’ side battling Juventus for a place in the Europa League final, the reality is they can still win all four major trophies.

Having won their last seven fixtures in all competitions, conceding just one goal in the process, Benfica have been made 2.75 (7/4) favourites to win the first leg against the Bianconeri.

Jorge Jesus faces some selection problems since Eduardo Salvio and Silvio Azevedo have been ruled out, whereas Nicolas Gaitan and Ljubomir Fejsa are rated doubtful.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Oblak – Pereira, Garay, Luisao, Siqueira – Perez, Fejsa – Rodrigo, A, Gomes, Gaitan – Lima.

The only reason why Juventus have yet to clinch their third successive Serie A trophy is because of Roma’s stunning performances of late, but this has also ensured Antonio Conte’s side remain alert for the final stretch of the season.

Having been forced to keep winning in order to remain at the top of the standings, the Bianconeri have done pretty well of late, winning their last five fixtures in all competitions.

And despite recording a double win over Lyon in the Europa League quarter-finals, chances are Juventus face a much tougher task against red-hot Benfica.

The Bianconeri have been thoroughly impressive on the road of late, winning seven of last eight away matches and keeping a clean sheet in each of those wins, so they look a good bet at 2.88 (17/9) bet365.

Antonio Conte has some doubts over the fitness of Carlos Tevez and Arturo Vidal, but the duo is unlikely to be risked from the start.

Meanwhile, Andrea Barzagli has returned into action, while Leonardo Bonucci and Stephan Lichtsteiner will be recalled.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Buffon – Caceres, Bonucci, Chiellini – Lichtsteiner, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah – Llorente, Giovinco.
