The all-Spanish Europa League semi-final will see Atletico Madrid and Valencia battle for one place in the final at Stadionul National in Bucharest.

Atletico Madrid were tipped for great things following the heavy summer recruitment, but it wasn’t until Diego Simeone took over the reigns that the team reached their full potential.

Los Colchoneros did well to return in contention for a top 4 finish in La Liga, while their European showings have been nothing short of impressive.

The Vicente Calderon outfit recorded double wins over Lazio, Besiktas and Hannover to reach Europa League semi-final and they will be looking to continue the amazing run against Valencia.

Given that Atletico won last nine Europa League games, odds of 2.10 (11/10) offered on home win at Stan James do look tempting.

Diego Godin is suspended after picking up his third yellow card, but Juanfran, Gabi and Arda Turan are available after they were banned for the second leg against Hannover.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Courtois – Juanfran, Miranda, Dominguez, Filipe Luis – Mario, Gabi – Turan, Diego, Adrian – Falcao.

It was Atletico Madrid who eliminated Valencia from Europa League quarter-finals two years back and this will be a perfect opportunity for los Che to get revenge on their rivals.

Unai Emery’s side weren’t as impressive as Atletico in this year’s Europa League, but they did well to eliminate Stoke, PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar in the previous rounds.

Their La Liga form has been a bit sketchy of late, with weekend’s 4-0 defeat to Espanyol hardly a perfect introduction into the all-important clash against Atletico.

Nonetheless, los Che will have two games to prove they deserve to fight for the coveted trophy and Valencia are 1.85 (17/20) with BetVictor to qualify for the final.

Key striker Roberto Soldado returns to the side after missing the Espanyol game through injury, but Ever Banega remains sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Diego Alves – Barragan, Rami, Ruiz, Alba – A. Costa, Topal – Feghouli, Jonas, Mathieu – Soldado.
