Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has said that he has told his players to win their UEFA Europa League group.
Ten Hag made the comments while looking ahead to the UEFA Europa League Group E match between Manchester United and Omonia Nicosia at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.
The Red Devils beat their opponents 3-2 away from home last week.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are second in UEFA Europa League Group E at the moment with six points from three matches, three points behind leaders Real Sociedad.
Ten Hag told United’s official website: “I told the players weeks ago, before the break that it is important to get number one in this group, so that will be our aim.
“But as you know, our aim is to win all the games. We want to avoid that, but if that is the way, then you have to win them all.”
