Riyad Mahrez’s rise to prominence came hand in hand with Leicester City’s fantastic emergence this season.

Foxes winger scored the second goal in his team’s comprehensive 3-1 win over Citizens, drawing all of the attention of the world to his fantastic pace, stamina, dribble, technique and composure.

Mahrez’s rise from the French amateur football to the bright scenes of the Premier League has been uncanny, but the 24-year-old is yet to fulfil his football dream.

Algeria international has scored 14 goals this season, managing 10 assists in the process and it is no wonder that he has gained attention from the Europe’s top clubs such as Barcelona.

Spanish and European champions are reportedly keeping close tabs on Leicester City star and are contemplating a summer move for the 24-year-old.

Mahrez has kept his promise to remain with Leicester City until the end of the season and winning the Premier League title could be the perfect farewell gift for the Algerian winger.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Goal.com, Riyad Mahrez commented on the links with the Catalan club, claiming he wouldn’t mind moving to Camp Nou one day.

“It’s not my goal or my dream but obviously everyone wants to play with Messi. One day, maybe. Why not?”, said Mahrez.

Leicester City will have a great chance to extend the gap on top of the Premier League table this weekend when they visit Emirates stadium. Foxes travel to London to lock horns with Arsenal and are standing at huge 19/5 to claim the maximum three points against Arsene Wenger’s charges.
