Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has made it clear that his star men Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez are not for sale in January.
The Foxes continued the dream start to the season with a 2-1 victory over holders Chelsea that saw them return to the Premier League summit, and they are now 21.00 (20/1) shot to go all the way.
Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez again had key roles to plays, scoring both goals for the home side, taking their respective tallies to 15 and 11 goals.
With that in mind, it is hardly surprising that world’s top clubs are casting admiring glances their way, but manager Claudio Ranieri is adamant they will not be leaving midway through the season.
“No-one can buy Vardy or Mahrez in January,” the Italian manager told reporters after the game. “They don’t have the money and they don’t have a price.”
Having successfully overcome the first obstacle, the Foxes face few more tricky ties ahead of the New Year’s Eve, with games vs Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City on the horizon.
