Raheem Sterling EnglandBBC Sport has learned that Liverpool hotshot Raheem Sterling is ready to inform the club chiefs that he wants to leave Anfield in the summer.

The England winger has a deal until June 2017 with the Reds and has recently rejected a new contract worth £100,000 per week despite currently earning £35,000 per week.

Sterling appears to have set his sights on leaving Liverpool and he is expected to inform manager Brendan Rodgers and club officials of his desire.

However, the Reds are not prepared to lose their star player leave without a fight and may opt against cashing in on their prized asset.

Manchester City are believed to be the favourites for his signature, so bear in mind that Sterling is 5.50 (9/2) to move to Etihad this summer.

Arsenal and few more clubs from abroad are also showing interest in the player who has managed 7 goals and as many assists in 35 Premier League outings this term.
