QPR favourites to bounce straight back to the Premier League

With just over a week until the start of the new Championship season, Queens Park Rangers are favourites to win the division, and make an immediate return to the top flight.

Harry Redknapp’s men are on offer at 7.0 (6/1) with most firms to be crowned Champions of the second tier for the second time in three years, while Bet Victor have the best price of 3.0 (2/1) for them to be promoted by any means.

Reading and Bolton Wanderers are joint second favourites to win the division at a best price of 10.0 (9/1) just ahead of Nottingham Forest, who are a 12.0 (11/1) shot with the majority of bookmakers.

The Royals are priced at 4.0 (3/1) in the promotion market having signed three international players, while Dougie Freedman’s men are a 4.33 (10/3) with Paddy Power.

Forest have been busy in the transfer market, having signed seven new players, and are 5.0 (4/1) to win promotion, along with East Midlands rivals Leicester City and Watford, both of whom made the play-offs last time around.

Leicester can be backed at 15.0 (14/1) with Bet 365 to win the title, while the Hornets are a 13.0 (12/1) chance with most companies.

Wigan Athletic, who are playing at this level for the first time in nine years, are also 13.0 (12/1) to be crowned champions, and 5.5 (9/2) to go up with Sky Bet, with Brighton and Hove Albion next in line at 17.0 (16/1) and 6.0 (5/1) in the league winners and promotion market respectively.

Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town are all a 7.0 (6/1) shot to be promoted having endured relatively disappointing campaigns last time around, while newly promoted Bournemouth are available at 8.5 (15/2) with Bet 365.

Derby County are 10.0 (9/1) with Sky Bet, while Birmingham City and Middlesbrough are both priced at 12.0 (11/1).

Charlton Athletic, who had a fine first season back in the Championship last time around, finishing ninth, are 15.0 (14/1) to return to the Premier League after a six year absence while of the remaining sides, Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley lead the pack at 17.0 (16/1), just ahead of the 19.0 (18/1) on offer from Bet Victor for Blackpool.
