Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said that he is delighted to have joined Barcelona after leaving Arsenal.
Aubameyang has moved to Spanish and European giants Barcelona on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
The 32-year-old Gabon international striker has joined Barca on a free transfer after Arsenal decided to let him leave.
Arsenal terminated their contract with with Aubameyang, who is over the moon to have joined Barcelona.
Aubameyang said, as quoted on Sky Sports: “I’m very proud, especially because my family is Spanish from my mother’s side. I’m really proud and happy to be here.
“My main goal is to help the team and give everything I can to bring the team back into the Champions League and stuff like that.
“I’m just happy to be here and I will try to give everything. It’s amazing to have him (Xavi) as a coach, he’s been a fantastic player as everyone knows and I’m sure as a coach he will bring us something that we will learn.”
Barcelona are fifth in the La Liga table at the moment with 35 points from 21 matches.
Xavi’s side are a point behind defending Spanish champions and fourth-placed Atletico Madrid and are rated at 35/1 on Betfair to win the La Liga title this season.
