Nathan ChelseaChelsea manager Jose Mourinho has made it clear that summer signing Nathan will not be challenging for first team berths at Stamford Bridge next season.

The Blues bear quite a few top clubs to the signature of the Brazilian midfielder, having recently secured a £4.5 million deal.

However, Jose Mourinho has now revealed that Nathan will be farmed out on loan as soon as he arrives in London.

“Nathan will not be in Chelsea’s squad next year, simple as that,” Mourinho told reporters.

“You buy, in very good circumstances before the price goes to the moon. You develop the player. He belongs to you, is on loan, and in the right moment you bring him back.”

However, Mourinho has suggested that talented midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be given a chance to impress next season.

“These kids trust us and know what we do is the best for them. They know the decisions for next season are the best decisions for them. Ruben (Loftus-Cheek) is going to stay as a member of the first-team squad.”

The youngster was handed his first ever Premier League start in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool and he should play some part when Chelsea face West Brom at the Hawthorns, where away win pays 1.91 (10/11).
