Manuel PellegriniMalaga boss Manuel Pellegrini has rubbished reports that he has agreed to take over from Roberto Mancini at Manchester City.

The Italian manager is set to be sacked after failing to win a single trophy this season and Pellegrini are 1.08 (1/12) favourite at BetVictor to replace him.

However, the Chilean has now moved to deny speculations that he is in advanced talks with the Etihad outfit.

“I categorically deny that I am the new Manchester City coach,” Pellegrini told Malaga’s official website.

“I have an agreement with Malaga not to talk to anyone and nothing has been agreed with any other outfit.”

“Nothing has been signed and no agreement reached. I’ve been fortunate enough, and very proud, that every year the big clubs are interested in me.

“I hope the future of this club will become somewhat clearer in the next few days.”
