Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero is on the verge of completing a move to Eastlands.

The Citizens have long ago opened negotiations with the La Liga side and the two clubs appear to be close to reaching an agreement.

City boss Roberto Mancini has now confirmed that Aguero transfer could be completed very soon.

“Aguero played in Copa America. If we close the deal, I need to speak with him, because I want to know his opinion,” Mancini was quoted as saying.

The Italian believes the transfer could be officially completed within next few days.

“I don’t know at the moment. The last news that I heard about Aguero was that the club was talking with Atletico Madrid.

“I think that maybe in four or five days, before the next game, I think that in this week maybe we can close. Maybe.”

Should City manage to secure Aguero signing they will become genuine title contenders, so maybe this is the right time to back City to win Premiership at odds of 5.00 (4/1) offered by Paddy Power.
