Manchester United vs Brighton and Hove Albion

Saturday’s Premier League action from Old Trafford sees Manchester United take on Brighton and Hove Albion.

The hosts kept to within eight points of leaders Manchester City last weekend after coming from a goal down to beat Newcastle United though they go into the game on the back of Wednesday night’s late Champions League defeat to Swiss champions FC Basel.

With their neighbors not playing until Sunday afternoon Jose Mourinho’s men will be looking to close that gap, while anything other than victory will leave the door open for Chelsea who will be looking to capitalise on any slip-ups when they travel to Liverpool later in the day.

Mourinho has problems in defence with Eric Baily and Phil Jones both out while Marcos Rojo may be rested after making a long awaited return from injury midweek.

Captain Michael Carrick is also sidelined while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unlikely to start but could play some part after coming off the bench a week ago.

Romelu Lukaku is priced at 4.0 (3/1) to open the scoring with William Hill while Paul Pogba is a 8.5 (15/2) chance with Sky Bet.

The home win is 5.5 (9/2) with a variety of firms with the visitors as highly priced as the 21.0 (20/1) on offer from Betfair. The draw can be backed at 7.4 (32/5) with Unibet.

The Seagulls are unbeaten in their last five games – form that sees them sitting in ninth place and six points above the relegation zone.

With no fresh injury concerns Chris Hughton could name the same side that drew 2-2 with Stoke City on Monday evening though Beram Kayal could be on the bench after recovering from a broken leg.

Top scorer Glenn Murray is 19.0 (18/1) to get the first goal of the game with Sky Bet with Anthony Knockheart a 26.0 (25/1) shot with a number of firms.

This is the first league meeting between these two sides since a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in March 1983 and you can bet on both teams scoring this time around at 2.75 (7/4) with Sporting Bet.
